THE POWER OF THE ANTICHRIST !

WHAT POWERS WILL THE ANTICHRIST HAVE ?

Using the following biblical support, here are a list of the Antichrist's powers, according to the book, "God's plan for Man":

A) To blaspheme God and speak boastfully (Daniel 7:8, 11, 20 and 25; 11:36; Revelation 13:5-6),
B) To overcome the saints (Daniel 7:25; Revelation 7:9-17; 14:13; 15:2-4) ,
C) To overcome the Jews (Daniel 7:21; 12:7; Revelation 13:7,15),
D) To conquer many nations (Daniel 7:8, 20-24; 11-36-45; Ezekiel 38, 39) and rule them as he will(Revelation 13:7),
E) To destroy Mystery Babylon (Revelation 17:12-17),
F) To overcome and kill the two witnesses (Revelation 11:7),
G) To change times and laws (Daniel 7:25),
H) To cause peace in the Middle East, to protect the Jews as long as he desires, and also to succeed in destroying them for a period (Daniel 9:27; II Thessalonians; Revelation 11:1-2),
I) To work counterfeit signs, wonders and miracles (Daniel 8:24; II Thessalonians 2:8-12; Revelation 13:1-18 and 19:20),
J) To cause deceit to prosper and consider himself superior (Daniel 8:25; John 5:43; II Thessalonians 2:10-12; Revelation 13:1-18),
K) To control money and riches in his own realm (Daniel 11:38-43),
L) To do according to his own will (Daniel 11:36),
M) To control worship and religion (Daniel 11:36; II Thessalonians 2:4; Revelation 13:1-18; Revelation 14:9-11: Revelation 16:21) ,
N) To control the lives of all men in his realm (Revelation 13:12-18),
O) To control kings as he wills (Revelation 17:12-17),
P) To make all the other nations fear him (Revelation 13:4),
Q) To fight against Christ, although ultimately he will be crushed by Jesus Christ (Daniel 8:25; Revelation 19:11-21) ,
R) To reign 42 months (Revelation 13:5)

BIBLE PASSAGES ABOUT THE ANTICHRIST, THE BEAST AND THE GREAT TRIBULATION

The following are the only verses in the Bible that mention the word "antichrist":

I John 2:18-19

I John 2:22-23

I John 4:2-3

II John 1:7

However, it should be noted that the following passages in the Bible deal with or are thought to deal with the man, who is THE Antichrist, and the time period of his rule known as the Great Tribulation:

*Genesis 3:15 (as Jesus was the seed of the woman so the

Antichrist will be the seed of the serpent).

*Job 26:13 ( Could be referred to as the "fleeing serpent")

*Isaiah 10:24 (referred to as "the Assyrian")

*Isaiah 30:31 (referred to as "Assyria")

*Isaiah 31:8 (referred to as "Assyria")

*Daniel 7:8 (referred to as a "little horn")

*Daniel 7:11 (referred to as "the horn" and the "beast")

*Daniel 7:19-25 (referred to as "the fourth beast" and "the
other horn...")

*Daniel 8:8-13 (referred to as "...another horn, which started
small...")

*Daniel 8:23-26 (referred to as, "...a stern-faced king, a
master of intrigue...")

*Daniel 9:27 (referred to as, "He will confirm a covenant with
many for one 'seven'...")

*Daniel 11:29-45 (referred to as, "the King of the North")

*Daniel 11:31 is mentioned by Jesus Christ in Matthew 24:15)

*Daniel 11:36-45 ( as "The king will do as he pleases...")

*Daniel 12:1, 3, 9-12 (refers to the time period of the Great
Tribulation)

*Hosea 12:7 ( debatably referred to as the cunning Canaanite)

*Joel 2:20 ( could be referred to as the king of or part of the "northern army)

*Micah 5:5-6 ( referred to as "the Assyrian")

*Habakkuk 2:5 (referred to as the "proud man")

*Matthew 24:15-25 (warns against false Christs like the
Antichrist and the "abomination that causes desolation." that
the Antichrist will erect in the Jewish Temple).

*II Thessalonians 2:3-12 (referred to as "...the man of
lawlessness..." and "...the man doomed to destruction..."
and "...the lawless one...")

*Revelation 6:2 (referred to as the rider holding a bow, "...the
white horse...")

*Revelation 13:1-8 (referred to as "...a beast coming out of the
sea..."

*Revelation 13:14-18 (referred to as "...the first beast...")

*Revelation 17:12-17 (referred to as "...the beast...")

Please note that in some cases a biblical passage can have dual or multiple meanings. An example is the reference to the "King of the North" noted in Daniel 11 which refers to both an ancient king and the Antichrist.

VERSES TO CONSIDER...

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

At the end of the book of Daniel, the prophet Daniel was told in Daniel 12:4 NKJV, "But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase." I would submit that "the time of the end" is here; many are going to and fro and knowledge is increasing exponentially.

END TIMES' SYMBOLS

The symbols often used in prophetic books of the Bible like Daniel and Revelation can be a bit confusing. However, the context is clear in the Bible. Some of these symbols and their meaning, along with some scripture references are:

"Winds" mean wars, strife, judgments from God (Jeremiah 25:32-33, Revelation 7:1-3 and Daniel 7:1-3),
"Seas" represent people (Revelation 17:15),
"Beasts" represent kingdoms and rulers ( Daniel 7:17, 7:23-24, and 8:20-23; Revelation 13:1-8)
"Heads" represent kingdoms (Daniel 7:6, 8:20-23; Revelation 17:8-17 ), and
"Horns" represent kings or rulers of kingdoms (Daniel 7:23-24; Revelation 17:12-17).
